Labor  Day-- No School

 

Thurs. Sept. 9 is Picture Day for fifth grade.  Students must wear regular school uniform and bring their PE clothes in a separate bag.

English-Homework-- Folders going home. Each student must make all corrections in red pen and parent must sign top paper.

English- Quiz  Friday, Sept. 10. on Review Study Sheet #2.  Study: Noun Gender, Noun Person, Sentence Form, review Kinds of Sentences, and the 2 essential elements of a sentence. SPELLING  COUNTS!

English-Today we continued our review of the rules of noun plurals.   All students should study text pages 316-319 and stapled handout in copybook on the rules of noun plurals. Noun Plural Quiz #1 on Tues. Sept. 14.  Noun Plural Quiz #2 on Thurs. Sept. 16.  Big test on Noun Plurals on Tues. Sept. 21. 

Religion- Test Friday, Sept. 10 on chapter 1 from text pp. 3-8 and Faith Facts #1-3.

Social Studies-Test Tues. Sept. 14 on the 6 New England states: MA, ME, CT, NH, RI, VT.  Know the location of each state, the capital city and the two letter postal abbreviation. SPELLING COUNTS!!

Cover all books by Thurs. Sept. 9.  On the front of each book: Subject, student name, 5B. 

Picture Day for fifth grade is Thurs. Sept. 9. 

Label all sweatshirts, lunchboxes, pencil cases etc. with name and 5B.

Please send in: tissues, paper towels, baby wipes, and instant hand sanitizer whenever possible.
