Important schedule change for August 21st

Dear Parents,

Yesterday, the Archdiocese mandated that all schools (high school and elementary) must have an early dismissal on Monday, August 21st. The reason for the schedule change is the Solar Eclipse (see below) which is scheduled to occur between 1:27 p.m. and 4:00p.m. The Archdiocese has stated that all students must be dismissed and no after school activities or sports may be held involving students.

I realize the lateness of this notice but it is important that you make the necessary arrangements for your child. Our Lady of Lourdes will dismiss at 11:40 and Epiphany will dismiss the students in PreK-4 at 12:15 and Grades 5-8 at 12:30. I would ask the 1st dismissal parents begin to arrive no earlier than 12:00. All students will be served lunch on Monday, August 21st.

Medical & Immunization Forms:

Current Medical forms (Physical and Immunizations) are needed for all students entering  Pre K, Kindergarten and 7th grade. All new students to Epiphany (1-8) must also have current medical and immunization forms. The forms must be delivered to the school office by Friday, August 11th.   This is a Florida Law, no one will be admitted to school without these forms.

Thank you!

IPad Deployment and New Student Orientation Dates:

There will be an IPad deployment for Grade 6 and new students in Junior High on Thursday, August 17th, from 9:00 - 11:00 am. in the cafeteria.

There will also be a New Student Orientation (K-8) on Thursday, August 17th from 10:00 - 11:30 am in the Parish Hall.

Because we are a family of faith trying to be more gentle and less violent, wanting our world to be more peaceful and more just, believing we are called by Jesus to be peacemaker --
In our treatment of each other and everyone we meet, to the best of our ability, with the help of God and one another.

We promise:
to be generous in giving help to others,
to give encouragement sincerely and often,
to show respect even when we disagree,
to reduce the violence in our lives,
to select entertainment that is less violent,
to avoid hurting others unnecessarily,
to ask forgiveness when we hurt someone,
to give forgiveness when anyone hurts us,
to forgive ourselves when we make mistake,
to pray for those who need peace, and help them if we can,
to keep the peaceful example of Jesus as our model.
